Nine arrests for cocaine were made in a major bust by Public Safety on Thursday night.

About 8 pm, Public Safety Director Larry Funderburke and Chief Investigator Frank Green led a team that burst through the doors at 1609 and 1611 South Hall Street.

The old Hicks Grocery and the adjoining residence have been continuing problem for drug sales even after a bust there several months ago.  He stated he hopes this will now shut down the drug activity there.
