Fire at Jamestown Apartments

Public Safety responded to a fire at the Jamestown Apartments on Palm Street on Monday evening.  They found smoke pouring from the vacant apartment but there were no flames visible.

Firefighters broke into the wall and ceiling of the first floor apartment to find and extinguish the fire.  The cause of the fire was deemed to be an electrical short in the wall.
