River Town Days, May 8 & 9, 2009
The Great River Rummage opens Friday afternoon and then again at 7 am on Hatcher Road.
The largest rummage sale in Southwest Georgia draws bargain hunters searching for hidden treasures.
You need to get an early start on Saturday at the Great River Rummage, a huge yard sale along the Flint River. Treasures of every description will be offered by vendors, individuals, churches, schools and other organizations.

The Flint River Raft Race will spotlight homemade self-propelled rafts racing on a course in the Earle May Boat Basin. There will be two classes, commercial and non-commercial. All rafts must be homemade and self-propelled (poles, oars, paddlewheels, sails, etc.). Download Rules and Reg Form

Rubber Ducky Dash for Cash At least 5000 ducks will be dumped into the Flint River where they will navigate through a race course to the finish line behind the Chamber of Commerce. The first place duck will win a guaranteed $5000 cash, and other cash and prizes will be awarded to top placing ducks. More Here
