River Town Days, 2008

The Great River Rummage   opens Friday afternoon and then again at 7 am on Hatcher Road.
The largest rummage sale in Southwest Georgia draws bargain hunters searching for hidden treasures. You need to get an early start on Saturday at the Great River Rummage, a huge yard sale along the Flint River. Treasures of every description will be offered by vendors, individuals, churches, schools and other organizations. Info/App for the River Rummage

The Flint River Raft Race will spotlight homemade self-propelled rafts racing on a course in the Earle May Boat Basin. There will be two classes, commercial and non-commercial. An outdoor boat and ATV show, arts and crafts exhibitors and local entertainment will highlight Saturday’s activities. All ages will enjoy the Early American Family Demonstrations, with demonstrations of soap making, basket weaving and more.

Reed Bingham Wildlife Exhibition and Benny West, well known alligator trapper, will entertain with gator and wildlife demonstrations and educational talks. Benny West has been a Georgia licensed nuisance alligator trapper for over 15 years.

Please Note The Georgia Forestry Commission will be providing free transportation around the festival grounds on their buggies because No ATV’s or golf carts will be allowed.
