Panhandle Heat Gold 12u traveled to Birmingham Ala. Nov 7-Nov 9 to compete amongst the top teams in the United States at the World Series. The team includes 7 girls from Bainbridge that have been playing together for many years.

Front, Taylor Lee, McKynleigh (Big Mac) Harrell, Hollie Smith, Mabry (Lil Red) Briggs, Anna Beth (AB) Bibby, Makayla Hamilton, Hanna (Bulldog) Segars, Desirae (D) Beachem, Lauren (Smiley) Howard, Sydney Amens, Skylar Dilliard, Bree Powell.  Back Row Coaches George Lee, Wes Briggs, Greg Harrell, Adam Segars.

In its developmental years the team struggled to win its first game but since those times they have become one of the powerhouses in 12u softball. The team has won over 20 tournaments this year and are currently the #2 team in the United States based on the USFA points system. This team is also the team that won the State Championship in Georgia in July. Coach Greg Harrell said that he would have never dreamed that this team would have ever accomplished so much is such a short period of time.

Coach Harrell went on to say that it goes to show that if you put your mind to it that nothing is impossible. This group of girls are some of the best young ladies and they have more heart, integrity, and a better work ethic than any girls he has ever seen. They just  never give up! They are never out of any game and they will fight until the very end. Panhandle Heat will be playing at home this weekend and encourage everyone to come out to support these girls. Panhandle Heat would like to thank all of its sponsors and their supporters. You make our dreams a reality.
