Information and Referral

computer with internet access.
They can assist with finding accessible housing, transportation and personal
care givers. They maintain an entire database of resource information.
The BAIN staff will help you learn who to call and what to ask. Knowledge
is power.
Peer Support
One of the center’s greatest roles is sharing experiences and offering
encouragement form someone who has “been there”. Support from peers can
assist you as you explore integration into the community. The center offers
a service in which a person with a disability can work with other persons
who have disabilities and who live independently. The objective is to
explore options and to solve problems that sometimes make adjustments to a
newly acquired disability difficult.
Individual and Systems Advocacy
BAIN knows that it is important to know your rights and advocate for them.
If you need assistance overcoming personal, governmental or institutional
barriers that may limit your potential to live and function independently,
they can give you the information you need to overcome them.
Self-advocacy is the best advocacy of all
